Alfa-Bank (Belarus) integrates blockchain
Alfa-Bank has integrated blockchain technology into a new version of the InSync mobile app. It is done to protect customer data during verification as much as possible. Alfa-Bank presented the upgraded mobile app version on September 26, 2018.
Now, people who use the banking mobile app can receive online loans. It refers even to those who have not previously utilized Alfa-Bank services (after the application processing, a courier delivers a card with money). The app offers two verification options: the first one compares your appearance with your passport photo (using Google Tensorflow), and the second one compares your voice with the pattern phrase (using Yandex Speech Kit). The updated InSync will allow to share a credit account among several people, read the latest news, and obtain a feedback using the online chat.
Villa in Tarasovo (Minsk) is sold for 250 bitcoins
A luxury complex, consisting of three buildings, overlooking Minsk is sold for cryptocurrency. The owner maintains that it is not an advertising trick and he has been engaged in the digital economy for a long time. The master of the house Alexey promises to prepare a transaction according to the rules and witnessed by lawyers.
The area of the villa is 600 square meters. The cost includes a garden, guest house, and accommodation for security guards. The price of the house in cryptocurrency is 250 bitcoins. The upmarket mansion has been on sale for two years. Besides, it is included in the list of the most expensive houses in Minsk. The villa is preliminary evaluated at $2 million.
Juventus FC to develop its own fan token
Following a French club – Paris Saint-Germain, Italian Juventus has announced the launch of its own cryptocurrency token. Football players will cooperate with Socios.com, a blockchain service for attracting fans.
Ricci, a Co-Chief Revenue Officer at Juventus, explains that they have been and will be always careful to new technologies. Designing its own token, the club is going to provide its fans with more opportunities. Currently, Juventus is ranked second in the top list of world’s football clubs. Allegedly, its fan token will be issued in the first half of 2019.
Bitmain announces a new chip for its ASICs
Bitmain, a manufacturer of mining equipment, has given a reply to its competitors from Bitfury. Two days after a presentation of the 14nm Bitfury Clarke chip, Bitmain introduced its 7nm processor based on the integrated microcircuit (ASIC). Company representatives state that this novelty is much more efficient than previous versions.
This chip was presented by Jihan Wu, a co-founder of Bitmain. The device is designed to mine cryptocurrencies using the SHA256 algorithm. The BM1391 chip will be a foundation for a projected series of Bitmain’s Antminer models. It reaches special energy consumption features due to 7nm FinFET semiconductors. Therefore, the new chips by Bitmain will be more cost-effective.
