Demand for blockchain specialists grows in Belarus

2016 showed a small demand for blockchain specialists but it grew dozens of times in 2017. The market is thinly staffed, Myfin.by reported.

According to Svetlana Shaporova, Director at RАBОТА.TUT.BY, in 2017 the resource posted more than 150 open positions related to blockchain projects. Such specialists include programmers, marketing experts, project managers, business analysts and lawyers. The main requirement is to know operational concepts of blockchain projects and Advanced English.

Besides, self-starter is encouraged: when employees can set sub-tasks for themselves. Besides, companies frequently offer remote job and guarantee high salary.

Alexander Sotnikov, a blockchain expert, explains that blockchain companies require marketing specialists and PR managers initially to launch project ICOs. Lawyers are responsible for white papers and technological documents.

Vladimir Serzhanovich, Belarus businessman and venture investor, stresses that people who want to be in-demand in the distributed ledger sector not only have to know the technology but also work efficiently, accept their own decisions and forget about bell-to-bell work.

Maxim Golikov, an account manager at Instinctools, believes that the key skills of IT specialists include ability to work with smart contracts and Ethereum platform. If people have such skills, their salary will be 30% higher in comparison with lead developers.

Alexander Sotnikov stresses that the demand for blockchain specialists will result in the overstocked labor market. He suggests that a significant part of professions will be transformed and some of them will even disappear in future. These changes will primarily affect notaries and bankers.

By the way, Svetlana Shaporova recommend those desiring to join the blockchain community to put a lot of time into self-education, attend specialized conferences and improve foreign language skills, particularly English ones.
