Cryptocurrencies will not be admitted to the internal market in Belarus
Cryptocurrencies will not be applied in the domestic turnover in Belarus, according to TUT.BY.
The Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said the government did not discuss the possibility of letting digital currencies to function in the domestic money market. The main goal was to regulate the legislation related to the use of blockchain, mining, and digital currencies as part of the High Technologies Park.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the digital transformation of the country was considered a priority of the national development in Belarus. To implement the digital strategy, favorable operation conditions would be created for progressive IT companies, obstacles for the integration of innovative technologies would be eliminated, and a new ecosystem would be formed.
Kobyakov supposes that countries of the Eurasian Economic Union should establish cross-industry systems to grow the global digitization of the society.
