Russia and Belarus agreed on collaborative development of the cryptocurrency industry
IT organizations in Russia and Belarus plan to work together on developing initiatives that will promote the growth of cryptocurrency industry in both countries, writes RIA Novosti.
It is assumed that the Russian Association of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency (RACIB) and the Belarus High Technologies Park will sign a cooperation agreement. At the moment, the document is being developed.
According to RACIB president, Yuri Pripachkin, the association will help the Belarus High Technologies Park in developing a regulatory and legislative framework. It is planned that in the future, RACIB will act as a center that will provide expert assistance to Russian projects.
In addition, Pripachkin noted that he considers levying taxes on mining illogical, since miners support the operation of the distributed ledger network.
In his opinion, the introduction of a tax on converting digital currencies into traditional money is more rational.
